Endep - side affects

Quick question for those of you that are taking Endep for the nerve pain/nueralgia.
Neuro gave my husband Ben 10mg Endep to take to help with the nerve pains he has been getting (side note for those un aware, Ben has not been diagnosed with MS, and it is more likely to something else interferring with the nerves)
We were aware that he would feel drugging and dosy in the mornings, he actually discribes it as having a hang over effect.
Could any body out there taking this sort of dosage tell me whether this side effect goes away once your body starts to tolerate the drug. I am on the assumption it will, though want to make sure.
Thanks

When I was on Endep years ago
When I was on Endep years ago now, it was for depression, it is the fix all wonder drug lol. Looking at it from an anti-depressant angle, it's like most of them, they tend to send you off with the fairies, ya always happy, ya don't care about much, but you have this strange feeling, that something aint quite right with how your seeing the world now lol.
Yes you will feel tired on Endep, you generally get a great nights sleep though, if you have concerns ask the prescribing medico, just know that Endep is an interesting drug that they prescribe for many reasons, it tends to put you into a different dimension is how I look at it. Hangover effect sounds like he is feeling sick, if that's the case that probably isn't that good, but if it's the fuzzy type head you get from a hangover, I would reckon that's fairly normal, bear in mind that some people have had some horrid side effects from taking Endep, so it is worth keeping an eye on it and check with medicos if you have any concerns.

I had it years ago
Hi Amber,
I was also on that same small dosage and it knocked me about terribly. 15mins after taking it my speech would slur and not long after that I'd be out like a light and wouldn't come to until not long before the next dose.
Basically I was taking it around 5.30pm and eating dinner early, then not waking until around 1-2pm the next day. Would be so groggy and couldn't see clearly. About an hour before I was due to take it again I'd start to come good.
I was on it for 6 weeks as the specialist said it may take a month to six weeks to adjust to it. But I never did. Some people adjust, others don't. So only time will tell. It just all boils down to our chemical makeup with drugs. My body is extremely sensitive to drugs, so my case is like a worse case scenario with it.
I was on it to try and break the cycle of cluster migraines.
Endep Side effects
Ive been on Endep for 6 years before diagnoses
I take 50mg on a normal day but if I am having some sort of episode I double it to 100mg
I cant sleep if I dont take it, and if I am out and forget to fill the script it is disasterous.
I have no side effects at all, sleep very well.
Kinda like the beteferon, had side effects for 3 months both body and injection sites but now no side effects at all.
No one seems to have a similar ecperience, but I Looove my Endep
Endep
I have been on Endep50 for 18 Months and have no side effects. Given to me for depression initially it also helps me sleep. I have gone 3 days without taking it and sleep was effected. Keep my scrips up to date now!
Did Nothing For Me
Hey Amber
I tried Endep for the neuropathic pain, but was off no benefit. There is a anti-depressant called Cymbalta (Duloxetine hydrochloride) that is supposed to do wonders for neuropathic pain. I'm thinking about coming off the Epilim and trying it instead.
