Well being

We as people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis should not believe that taking a medically prescribed MS drug means that we don't need to consider general aspects of healthy living, the MS drugs are in no way silver bullets.

New Therapies, New Hope and New Directions Power point Presentation

Tim O'Maley, the only specialist MS nurse practitoner in Australia gave a talk in Brisvegas on World MS Day, the powerpoint slides of the presentation are now available. I'm posting this because it is good information, brief and clear and there is a hysterically funny photo on the first page ( well, I thought it was one of those OMG! OMG photos!!)

Western & Complimentary medicines working together

After reading comments on the Vit D poll, especially Jodi's comment that wouldn't it be great of both western medical doctors and alternative practitioners be able to work hand in hand.

My adjusted dietary approach

Steve

A few years ago I learnt just how bad refined (degraded) vegetable oils - including margarine - are for our health, and have gradually removed them as much as possible from my intake.

Apparently they aggravate any inflammatory disorder HUGELY.

Since I began doing so I have had NO further major MS attacks. A couple of small episodes, usually heat or stress related.
