electric shocks

Shock
I have had a return of the tingling sensations over the past 4 weeks, and three times in the last fortnight it felt as though electric shocks were hitting the sole and heel of my left foot. The only way to reduce the sensation was to hit my foot on the place where it was being zapped. I have also had really itchy skin, though that has now subsided. Is this an exacerbation?
