One of the drawbacks of working in a newsroom is that we get the news (and pics) as they are happening. I was working on Saturday when the earthquake hit Chile.

I honestly thought that due to the fact I was pregnant for all of a minute (ok more like a week and bit) that I would avoid a relapse! I was very wrong!

I went to see the neuro yesterday with a heap of pieces of paper and questions.

I am going to have a bit of a whine here so if you dont want to hear a grizzle, stop reading!

Last Friday I discovered that I was pregnant, it has been a long road to fall pregnant again, though here I was on Ben's birthday with a positive test. I was besides myself with excitement. I rang my haematologist and started on aspirin to try and maintain the pregnancy.

Sorry for my absence of late, I've been in a very bad state of health. A "lot" of pain.

Yesterday I went in and saw the new neurologist I've been so looking forward to seeing. I was disappointed. He was not one that specialises in MS and his diagnostic skills leave a lot to be desired.

On December 31st, one of my oldest and dearest friends had a stroke. He called the house, explained his symptoms and we immediately knew what was happening. We told him to take some aspirin and call an ambulance. He took the aspirin and then had a friend drop him off at the hospital alone. Hello??? He survived, yet it was a real shock to all of us.

Yesterday my husband Ben and I mate the trip down to Melbourne to visit the Neuro. This time for Ben though. We were both very nervous about what be may tell us, or what he may not tell us (as Drs do!)
